Sens Fan Mistakenly Sent Unreleased Third Jersey

An Ottawa Senators fan received an unexpected birthday gift over the weekend: the team's unreleased third jersey.

"I just received the unreleased (as far as I can tell) Ottawa Senators red third jersey for my birthday," Reddit user quantez83 posted on the r/hockeyjerseys subreddit.

The Reddit user explained that the order was supposed to be for a black Brady Tkachuk home jersey, but Fanatics sent the wrong one.

This is the first clear view of the third jersey, which will debut in the upcoming 2025-26 season. The Senators are expected to wear it in as many as ten home games.

Fans in attendance were shown a teaser video on the Canadian Tire Centre Jumbotron when the Senators held their annual Season Seat Member Spring Summit in June.

It should be noted that the jersey received by this fan belongs to Fanatics' Breakaway line, and is a step down from Premium or Authentic Pro jerseys that offer a better resemblance to what is worn on the ice by players.

The Senators are expected to officially unveil the third jersey later this month, with Season Ticket Holders likely receiving the first opportunity to purchase one.
